Crown Your Worth: The Heartfelt Journey of Cecelia Settem
Cecelia Settem, founder of Crowns and Hearts, has created more than just a luxury wellness and beauty studio—she’s created a sanctuary. As a licensed Esthetician, Massage Therapist, and Nail Technician, Cecelia blends healing touch with intentional care, offering a deeply personalized experience to each client. From radiant facials to therapeutic massage and natural nail services, her work is rooted in authenticity, excellence, and soul-aligned service.
Born from a desire to support herself and her family on her own terms, Crowns and Hearts is Cecelia’s vision fully realized—a space where self-care is elevated to an act of empowerment, and beauty is treated as both ritual and restoration.
Q: What do you do and who do you serve?
Cecelia: As a licensed Esthetician, Massage Therapist, and Nail Technician, I provide personalized services including facials, full-body waxing, therapeutic and relaxation massage, and natural nail care. I serve people who are looking for something deeper—those who want to feel seen and safe. I’m here to create an environment where clients can truly relax, release, and reconnect with themselves. Whether they’re coming in for physical renewal or emotional grounding, I meet them where they are and hold space for them to just be.
Q: What inspired you to start your business or current career path?
Cecelia: I wanted to support myself and my family on my own terms. I knew I had something valuable to offer, and I wanted to create a space where I could serve others without sacrificing my own well-being. That independence and sense of purpose inspired me to take the leap. Now, I get to blend my passions—beauty, healing, and intuitive care—into a business that sustains both me and my clients.
Q: What’s one lesson you’ve learned that’s shaped the way you work?
Cecelia: The importance of energy. Mine and theirs. I’ve learned that I can’t pour from an empty cup, so I protect my energy with structure, boundaries, and time to rest. I’ve also learned that the energy I bring into a session directly affects the experience of my clients—so I always check in with myself first. My work is more than technique—it’s transmission.
Q: Share a challenge you’ve overcome and how it helped you grow.
Cecelia: A major challenge has been learning to honor my own pace in a world that glorifies hustle. There were times when I pushed too hard, tried to do too much, and ended up depleted. That experience taught me how to structure my business around my life—not the other way around. Now I build in rest, boundaries, and time with my family as non-negotiables. And that has made me not just a better practitioner, but a healthier and more whole human.
"I’m deeply intuitive and intentional with my energy. A lot of people see the outer work I do—massage, nails, facials—but there’s a whole energetic level I hold for my clients. I read energy, I hold space, and I often intuitively know what someone needs without them saying a word. My business is a blend of tangible care and soul support.”

Q: What does success mean to you now, versus what it used to mean?
Cecelia: I used to think success meant being booked out, making a certain income, or being constantly busy. Now, success means peace. It means waking up and feeling aligned. It’s being able to say “no” without guilt, to honor my time with my son and husband, and to do work I believe in without burning out. Success is the freedom to live in flow and stay connected to my purpose.
Q: How do you integrate your personal values into your business?
Cecelia: Everything I do at Crowns and Hearts is infused with authenticity and excellence. I meet each person with honesty and care, and I never phone it in. Whether I’m doing a massage or a nail service, I give my best. I’m not here to be trendy or transactional—I’m here to help people feel seen, nurtured, and empowered in their own bodies.
Q: What’s one piece of advice you’d give to someone in your industry just starting out?
Cecelia: Trust your energy. You don’t have to be everything to everyone or follow one rigid path. If you love more than one modality, explore them. If something lights you up, lean in. There’s space for your unique mix of gifts. Build a business that reflects who you are—not what the industry says you “should” be.
Q: How do you nurture your mental and emotional health while pursuing big goals?
Cecelia: I create space to be real with myself. I use oracle cards, journal, rest, and retreat to my safe space—home with my husband and son. That grounding helps me reset and move forward with clarity. I also hold firm boundaries: I work five days a week—whichever get booked first—and I close the rest of my calendar. That protects my time and helps me stay balanced. I believe in divine timing and trust that the universe is always guiding me forward.
Q: What lights you up outside of work?
Cecelia: My family is my joy. Spending time with my husband and son, watching our favorite shows together, laughing—it fills me up. I also love little rituals, like making tea, listening to music, painting, or cooking. These moments help me reconnect with myself beyond my work. If I had more time, I’d paint more and definitely sleep more—rest is a huge part of how I stay well.
Q: What are you currently learning, healing, or exploring?
Cecelia: I’m learning to trust my intuition even more deeply. I use tools like oracle cards not just for myself, but to stay clear and grounded for my clients. I’m exploring ways to grow my business sustainably while giving back to my community. I'm healing the parts of me that felt I had to earn rest or prove my worth through overgiving. I’m learning to receive as much as I give.
